Located in the heart of the Fens in Cambridgeshire, England, Elgood & Sons Ltd. is a family brewery.
Home to Elgood’s is the North Brink Brewery, one of the first breweries from the Georgian era to have been built outside London, and founded in 1795. In 1878 it was transferred to the Elgood family, which, now in its fifth generation, continues to manage it to this day, preserving tradition but all the while boldly adapting to the challenges of modernity.
The North Brink Brewery is situated on the north side of the Nene river in the centre of the Cambridgeshire town of Wisbech. The classic Georgian façade is tribute to its historical character: over the years, Elgood’s has remained loyal to its traditional brewing methods, and has adapted them to produce a full range of beers to please everyone’s tastes.
Elgood’s has long been a devoted supporter of the traditional British system of Tied Estates, and currently they supply 36 pubs, all within a radius of 96km from the brewery, including areas in the neighbouring counties of Lincolnshire and Norfolk, as well as in the centre of Cambridgeshire.
